Leapmotor Teases New A10 SUV Ahead of Guangzhou Auto Show

Fully electric compact SUV will debut on November 21st and feature roof-mounted LiDAR and highway ADAS system.

Leapmotor has teased its upcoming small SUV, the A10, ahead of the model’s debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show on November 21st.

The images, which show only highlighted silhouettes of the car with few details, reveal an upright model that looks set to take on the BYD Yuan Up and MINI Countryman.

It’ll sit below the B10 SUV in Leapmotor’s line-up, likely offering a new entry point into the brand which has seen staggering growth in sales throughout 2025.

Entry-level models could come in at around RMB 80,000 (£8,500 / $11,275), enabling it to take on the Yuan Up, or Atto 2 in some markets, which starts at RMB 75,000 in China.

As is customary with Leapmotor models, the A10 features a staggered line arrangement in the daytime running lights at the front, though this time there are new bracket-like details in the upper lines that reflect similar graphics in the tail lights.

Adjusting the exposure on the official images reveals a closed grille and trapezoidal headlamps units that give the A10 something of a softer, doe-eyed appearance.

Gentle bonnet sculpting mimics the stylish appearance of the new B05 / Lafa 5 hatchback, while rounded wing mirrors continue the softer theme.

Notably the A10 also gets a roof-mounted LiDAR unit which appears a little smaller than those on other Leapmotor models, but nevertheless suggests that some level of assisted driving system will be offered.

Little is given away in the side profile but the A10 clearly features something of a more upright appearance, similar to that of the BYD Yuan Up, with a steeply raked windscreen, a more upright C-pillar, and a vertical bootlid, with a large glasshouse seemingly the priority.

The rounded profile is clearly visible throughout, along with soft shoulder lines, and there are two horizontal graphics on the C-pillar to add a little extra flourish to the design.

There’s also a small spoiler at the rear and a raised element which appears to be for a high-level camera unit as part of the ADAS hardware.

At the rear, the A10 gets mostly square taillights with smiley face-like details formed by two upper brackets and a lower rectangular shape, giving something of a cheerful appearance.

A high-level brake light features on the lip of the spoiler, but it’s not clear from the images if there’s a concealed rear window wiper under the spoiler itself.

The A10’s heavily rounded shoulders are particularly obvious from this angle.

Spy shots of the A10 driving around Leapmotor’s Hangzhou headquarters show the car to be quite tall for its size, which is why we believe it to be a rival to the Yuan Up.

Powertrain details haven’t yet been released but Leapmotor’s smaller models tend to be fully electric only and we’d place a bet on that being the case here too, with battery packs likely around 32-50kWh in size, offering CLTC ranges of between 300 and 450km.

We’d also suggest it will likely get a front-wheel drive layout with around 70-130kW of power, good for a 0-100kph time of between 7.5 and 13 seconds.

We’ll have all the official information of the A10 for you when it launches in just a few days.
