Electric hatchback is larger than a VW Golf and will begin pre-sales in August.

Arcfox has released a selection of official pictures of their upcoming family hatchback, the T1, with pre-sales starting in August.
The images, which show a sportier version of the T1 than that previewed in the MIIT filings, feature more aggressive C-shaped intakes either side of the front bumper, suggesting there will be different performance variants of the T1.
It will become the sixth model in Arcfox’s line-up (not dividing slight variations in models), and the smallest so far, taking on rivals such as the AION UT and BYD Dolphin.
The brand’s monthly deliveries have been meandering around the 10,000 unit mark throughout the year but hit a new peak of 13,509 in May, and with the T1 being a more affordable model, numbers should see an uptick towards the end of the year.

Externally, the T1 is a neat looking product that isn’t too dissimilar in profile from the firefly, with short overhangs at the front and rear, a thick C-pillar, large wheels (in this case likely the 19-inch variant) and a blacked out roof.
The front gets a dynamic full-width lightbar with upswept corners, large air inlets for the front aero with black plastic accents, and a lower air intake, as well as six parking sensors.
The side profile gets soft shoulders and sharp scalloping at the bottom of the doors, flush door handles, and a tail of black plastic extending into that wide C-pillar.
The rear gets separated taillights with chevron-shaped running lights, an adjunct bootlid with a gloss-black panel beneath the rear window with pinstripe details, and what appears to be a concealed rear wiper underneath the modest spoiler.

The interior shown at the Shanghai Auto Show, which was hidden from access but visible up to the glass, shows a sporty interior with bright blue accents throughout the cabin.
A large central screen, around 15.6-inches in size, dominates the dashboard, while the driver information display is a much smaller, almost square-shaped screen.
The centre console is the disconnected type, with a large storage space underneath, a vertical phone holder slot, and what looks like dual wireless chargers though only one may be real, as well as two cupholders and a lidded storage area.
Space in the rear appears to be quite adequate with 60:40 folding seat backs, a central vent with USB-C socket, and a totally flat floor.

Technical details include dimensions of 4,337mm in length, 1,860mm in width, 1,572mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,770mm.
Power (on the models revealed by MIIT) will come from either a 70kW or 95kW motor, though we don’t know which axle that will be on. That would make it slightly less powerful in the peak variant than both the AION UT and the firefly.
With Arcfox actively expanding into Europe, the T1 could be one of the brand’s first products, so expect a potential launch at the Chengdu Auto Show or even the Munich Auto Show.
