The new model, iCar’s largest yet, will be sold in international markets under the iCaur brand.

An image has surfaced of iCar’s upcoming fourth model, the V27, using the brand’s international brand name, iCaur, and stating a reveal date of August 1.
The model, which has been spied in prototype form in recent weeks, looks set to continue iCar’s iconic boxy profile along with distinctly Land Rover Defender-style daytime running lights.
Expected to sit at the top of iCar’s fledgling line-up, the V27 is expected to be going up against similarly chunky rivals such as the Fangchengbao Tai 3 and its sister car, the Jetour T1 Shanhai.
iCaur has recently been announced as Chery’s fourth brand for the UK market after OMODA, Jaecoo, and Chery itself, with the brand set to debut their early next year.

The V27 is expected to come in both fully electric and EREV forms with the EREV version using Chery’s 1.5-litre engine and a battery in excess of 30kWh for an EV-only range of around 150-200km and a total range in excess of 1,000km.
An updated version of the V23 was recently unveiled in the MIIT filings with more powerful motors, 185kw on the rear axle and 150kW on the front axle, which seems close to what we’d expect from this larger model.
Recently, the brand’s 03T model has been unveiled in EREV form badged as a Chery X3L, though Chery is a company quite prone to often confusing cross-pollination of brands and products.
The teaser image reveals that the V27 looks far closer to the T03 than the more retro-styled V23, with a boxy profile, wide C-pillar bearing the V27 logo, and a chunky bonnet with square sculpting and twin bonnet domes.
It also gets traditional style door handles, a footplate to aid entry, large flared arches, and chunky alloys of the same style as those sported on the iCar V23, as well as distinctive daytime running lights in a retro style.
The choice to debut the iCaur logo in the teaser image is a curious one given the brand’s immediate focus on the Chinese market, but it’s perhaps seen as a good opportunity to announce the brand globally.
iCar models are already sold in some international markets under the Jaecoo name, but European and Australian markets are expected to get the iCaur name which was already confirmed for the UK.
