Zeekr Teases 7GT Estate And We Reveal The Details

7GT, which may be called 007GT in China, is the wagon version of the Zeekr 007

Zeekr has taken to X to reveal teaser images of their upcoming 7GT, an estate version of the 007 saloon.

In our exclusive images, we’ve played with the image saturation to reveal more of the vehicle, uncovering a stylish sportwagon type with an aggressive floating C-pillar and twin blade spoiler above the rear window.

Elsewhere, the 7GT retains most of the 007’s key features, including the STARGATE LED lightbar at the front, twin-domed clamshell bonnet, and full width rear daytime running light, though the 7GT makes do without the ripple effect panel beneath it.

Little is known about the 7GT at present but we expect it to match the standard 007 in most areas, with a single motor version utilising a 310kW motor on the rear axle, and a dual motor version adding a 165kW motor on the front.

Batteries will likely be the Zeekr-developed Golden Brick battery, a 75kWh LFP unit offering up to 688km of range on the CLTC cycle and capable of charging 10-80% in 10.5 minutes, and the 100kWh Qilin NMC battery from CATL, offering up to 870km of range and capable of charging from 10-80% in 15 minutes.

A sporty ‘kung-fu’ edition is also likely, boasting a 0-100kph sprint of under 3-seconds with one-foot rollout, while standard versions should do this in 3.6 to 5.1 seconds deepening on the number of motors.

Prices for the 7GT will likely take on a premium over the standard 007, so expect a starting price of around RMB 229,000 for the base version, rising to over RMB 300,000 for the flagship edition.

Zeekr has recently announced plans to offer EREV versions of its cars so the 7GT could also be one of the first models to adopt this technology.

There are no details yet on storage capacity for the 7GT but it should best the 007’s 462-litres, though given the sporty profile of the rear end it’s not expected to be a focused hauler like a Volvo V60 for example.

Tthough sales will likely begin in China first, the 7GT is expected to go abroad, including to Australia where it was confirmed for launch by the brand last year, and Europe where estate cars remain popular.

It will compete with NIO’s ET5T, which is set to get a major update later this year.
