XPeng P7+ has only been on sale for 20 days and looks likely to take XPeng monthly sales over 30,000 in November
XPeng has announced the production of its 10,000th P7+, which we reviewed here, just 20 days after the car went on sale demonstrating an impressive ramp-up for what will likely be one of its most popular models.
The P7+, an all-new model in addition to the P7i, only went on sale on November 7 and, after securing more than 30,000 firm orders within just four hours of order books opening, has hit the ground running at the factory.
It’s the second successive sales hit for XPeng after the MONA M03 which last week saw the 30,000th delivery completed within three months.
XPeng is now racing to boost production capacity for both models to keep up with demand and is aiming to be able to make 20,000 MONAs by Chinese New Year 2025.
It’s a stunning turnaround for XPeng after a slow start to the year with sales of their other models not really hitting the heights and monthly sales barely scraping 10,000 units until the arrival of the MONA.
They’ve now comfortably cleared 20,000 units in each of the last two months and are expected to top 30,000 in the final two months of the year.
In addition, they also noted that deliveries of their X9 MPV had passed 20,000 units cumulatively, around ten months after it went on sale.
The X9, which we reviewed here, has been the number one premium pure EV MPV on sales in the January to October period, making up one of every two premium EV MPVs sold between January to June 2024.
