Off-road focused brand says international sales have totalled more than 10,000 units as they expand into four new markets.
ROX Motor has announced the expansion of its international operations into a further four countries on the back of sales successes across the Middle East.
Agreements have been signed with partners in Iraq, Jordan, Oman, and Libya, with the company now counting over 20 countries in its global efforts.
Sales so far have now topped the 10,000 unit mark with particular success being achieved in the United Arab Emirates where the ROX 01 SUV currently sits in third place in the all-terrain SUV sales charts behind only the Range Rover and the Land Rover Defender, claiming 15 percent of the market.
Just recently, the brand opened its first dealership in Kuwait, and hosted its first global after-sales training to ensure consistent standards in the markets in which it operates.
At the recent Guangzhou Auto Show, the company displayed the ROX 01 Falcon Edition locally for the first time, a limited edition model designed to celebrate the tradition of falconry in Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) markets.
The model features a custom paint job and additional interior features, and has already found a high profile customer in the royal family of Abu Dhabi after it was debuted at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition.
It comes equipped with the industry’s first custom hunting kit, which includes features such as a roof rack, panoramic sunroof, and pillar handrails for going hunting with falcons through the roof of the vehicle.
It’s also been turned into a four-seater with the second-row seats moved backwards to provide a more luxurious interior experience.
ROX Motor also took the opportunity of the Guangzhou Auto Show to launch their Adventure Academy, a platform offering expert-led outdoor training for ROX owners.
Zhu Yunliang, the founder of China’s leading off-road modification brand, Yunliang, was presented as the first resident expert for the new program which will guide ROX owners in learning how to use their cars correctly in off-road scenarios.
China’s off-road scene has grown in size in recent years with videos of heavily modified SUVs attacking challenging terrains across the country becoming a popular sight on Chinese social media.
The ROX 01 comes fitted with numerous features that support such activities, including off-road cruise control, sensors that give a view of the terrain beneath the car, and sensors that show whether a route is passable with the car, such as under fallen trees.
It has a wading depth of 700mm and can even inform the driver how deep the water is that it’s currently in to ensure safe passage.
As well as a built-in camping table and hot water dispenser built into the rear door of the car, the brand is also producing custom gear for their models, including the ROX Lure Magic Box, which comes equipped for lure fishing, an activity that is popular among its user base.
