We have waited a long time to get a NIO on the channel, and finally we have one in the shape of the incredibly sexy NIO ET5.
Similar in size and style to a Tesla Model 3, the ET5 boasts sharper looks, a more luxurious interior, and battery-swapping ability, but it also boasts a sizeable premium price tag too, and is sold along the traditional European lines of adding lots of optional extras.
But with a brutal price war on EVs in China, the ET5 is going to have to go some to justify itself against very impressive competition. Does it deliver a performance to challenge the experienced Germans? We found out.
